Electronic Entertainment. Now that’s a pretentious way to say ‘videogames’. And yet the word ‘game’ does not fully convey the experience we get from these products. Games are more than simply ‘shooting the aliens’ or ‘collecting the widgets’. They are inherently social activities. Or at least they should be.
I write about games because they offer a unique experience that no other medium can. But also because I don’t believe in fanboyism, and there should be as much criticism as possible. Both on the games, the developers, the PR machines, the players and the press. For the record, I am part of the latter, and write about games professionally for Dutch newspapers and magazines.
Does that mean I am always right about games? Not at all. Let’s put it this way: I was sure the Wii would be a niche product.
But I love to write about games, and hope you will enjoy the bits of news and opinions I will throw at you.
Oh and please do throw back.
Kind regards,
